Persepolis hat drei Portale, und man betritt die St\u00e4tte durch das westliche. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Auf beiden Seiten des westlichen Portals befinden sich zwei Stiere mit menschlichen Gesichtern, die nach Westen blicken. Man begegnet diesen beiden Stieren mit menschlichen Gesichtern, die auf zwei Plattformen stehen, die 1,5 Meter hoch sind, w\u00e4hrend man die Treppe hinaufsteigt. Diese beiden Figuren, die Lamassu (Stier-Mensch) genannt werden, wurden von den Assyrern \u00fcbernommen und etwas umgestaltet. Zum Beispiel haben die Stiere in der assyrischen Kunst f\u00fcnf Beine, aber diese beiden Figuren in Persepolis haben ihre    <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">nat\u00fcrlichen <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">vier Beine und halten ihre Hinterbeine in einer Bewegungsposition. Die Gesichtsverzierungen dieser beiden Figuren sind mit einem lockigen Bart gestaltet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Zwischen diesen beiden Figuren und an den W\u00e4nden, auf denen sie stehen, befinden sich Tafeln in drei Sprachen und drei Keilschriftarten. Die nach Westen gerichtete Tafel (zum Feld hin) ist in elamischer Sprache. Die mittlere Tafel ist in altpersischer Sprache geschrieben, und die nach Osten gerichtete Tafel (zum Saal hin) ist in babylonischer oder akkadischer Sprache verfasst. Aber der Inhalt der Tafeln ist derselbe; sie alle lauten:   <\/span><\/p>\n\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201eEin gro\u00dfer Gott ist Ahura Mazda, der diese Erde erschaffen hat, der jenen Himmel erschaffen hat, der den Menschen erschaffen hat, der dem Menschen Gl\u00fcck gebracht hat, der Xerxes zum K\u00f6nig gemacht hat, ein K\u00f6nig von vielen, ein Herr von vielen&#8230; Ich bin Xerxes, der gro\u00dfe K\u00f6nig, K\u00f6nig der K\u00f6nige, K\u00f6nig der L\u00e4nder mit verschiedenen Arten von Menschen, K\u00f6nig auf dieser gro\u00dfen weiten Erde, Sohn des K\u00f6nigs Darius, ein Ach\u00e4menide, ein Perser, Sohn eines Persers, ein Arier<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">von arischer Abstammung.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Im Inneren dieser Halle und auf ihrer Umgebung wurde eine Steinplattform errichtet, damit die G\u00e4ste nach Erhalt der Bareaam-Erlaubnis (Erlaubnis zum Besuch des K\u00f6nigs) darauf Platz nehmen konnten. Anscheinend war das Innere dieser Halle mit Mosaiken in den Farben Gr\u00fcn, Blau und Orange mit einer Palmenverzierung bedeckt.
