Qazvin, a big city located 200km far from Tehran and connects the capital to the west and northwest part of Iran. Qazvin has an old history since the Sassanid era when it was a place for trade on the Silk road. But the most important era for Qazvin begun in the 16th century, when it was selected by a Safavid king, Shah-Tahmasb the first, as the capital of Iran and it was the governmental and royal place for 56 years. In Qazvin  , you visit monuments from the Safavid era including Chehelsotoun palace and garden, Sardar cistern, Saad-al-Saltaneh Caravansarai, Qazvin Bazaar, and the famous gate of Tehran.
