OVERVIEW TOUR

Persian Carpet is still one of the best kinds of carpet in the world but unfortunately produced regardless of the original designs and patterns and with low quality in many other countries such as China. This low quality is very hard to discern for the ordinary people, that is why this journey leads you to the heart of a country whose many people have woven their thoughts and imaginations on carpets, kelims, ziloos, and other Persian kinds of rug, so that you will see, touch and understand the real Persian carpet, its history and stories.
This journey begins with the National Museum of Iran and the Carpet Museum in Tehran, with carpets more than 200 years old, and then takes you to Tabriz, the city of durable carpets, where the new brides bring the old carpets of the older generations as a dowry to their husbands. Ahar and Heris counties, in the province of East Azerbaijan, are our next destinations, whose carpets and Kelims are famous for their special designs. After relaxing in the natural spas of Ardabil, we will see another kind of kelim and then head Shiraz, the home to Ghashghaei carpets. Their minimalist patterns and motifs and the hard working of the nomads will astonish you. In Isfahan, we get acquainted with the special colors, details, and patterns in their workshops and then head Kashan to see the beautiful silk carpets and finally we will reach Qom, our last destination.
