The western part of Iran is less known for tourists and has less trodden paths, but satisfied with wondrous places to see and fantastic things to experience. This is a package for those who have seen the golden triangle of Iran and are saturated with the famous names and yearn for new experiences and discoveries.

In the southwest, at Khuzestan province, as well as Lorestan province in the heart of Zagros mountain, three UNESCO World Heritage sites are located, presenting to you their ancient history, including Choqa-Zanbil ziggurat and  Shushtar hydraulic system. Also in the west of Iran, you will visit Kermanshah with its mysterious inscriptions and bas-reliefs, including another UNESCO World Heritage site. They belong to the Achaemenid and Sassanian or even Median empires,  dating back to the 8th/7th century B.C.  The next destination is Hamedan, the city of mystic people and different religions, the first capital of Iran in 500 BC. An old stony village close to Hamedan and also Ganjnameh inscription and waterfall are some interesting places to visit around the city. Just before arriving in Zanjan, the Soltanyeh Dome would catch your eyes with its spectacular turquoise color, making it another UNESCO World Heritage site in Iran. On the way to Tabriz, Takht-e-Soleiman is also a UNESCO World Heritage site to amaze you with its ancient temples of Zoroastrian people belonging to the ancient history of Iran. In Tabriz, an interesting museum and mosque are waiting for you as well as its Bazaar, which is the longest one in Iran and also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
