After arriving at Ika airport, we start the tour with traveling to Kashan, which is one of the most important cultural cities in Iran and located at the border of mountains and desert. After spending a day in Kashan, our journey continues on the road to Isfahan and visiting Abyaneh, one of the oldest villages in Iran en-route.

In Isfahan, we will discover architectural wonders, each having a hidden story in its bosom. Then, we will walk in the clay alleys in Yazd, the only city of Iran the whole of which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is an experience you will never forget. Also, you will meet the Zoroastrian people and their way of life. In Kerman, you experience some amazing areas you have never seen before, a huge adobe citadel with high towers and walls, and also the most mysterious desert in Iran located in Kerman.

Our next destination is Shiraz, famous for its poetry originating from the 13th and 14th-century. The diversity of food and restaurants makes you feel sedated and reposed. Visiting Persepolis (UNESCO World Heritage site), the most impressive ancient site of Iran would amaze you and then we have a long drive to the southwest of Iran.

The western part of Iran is less known for tourists but it is full of amazing places to see and fantastic things to experience. In the southwest, at Khuzestan province, there are three UNESCO world heritages, which shows how ancient that area is, as well as Lorestan province in the heart of Zagros mountain with ancient castles and bridges. Also in the west, you visit Kermanshah with mysterious inscriptions which is another UNESCO world heritage site.

The next destination is Hamedan, the city of mystic people and different religions, the first capital of Iran in 500 BC and also famous for Hegmataneh, the summer capital of the Persian Empire in the Achaemenid era. An old stony village close to Hamedan and also Ganjnameh inscription and waterfall are some interesting places to visit around the City. On the way to the northwest of Iran, we will have a visit to the Alisadr Cave, which is a candidate as the longest water cave on the earth. Just before arriving in Zanjan, the Soltanyeh Dome would catch your eyes with spectacular turquoise color, making it another UNESCO world heritage site in Iran.

On the way to Tabriz, Takht-e-Soleiman is another UNESCO world heritage site to amaze you with its ancient temples of Zoroastrian people belonging to the ancient history of Iran. In Tabriz, an interesting museum and mosque are waiting for you as well as its Bazaar, which is the longest one in Iran and also a UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 1 : Driving to Kashan via Qom

in Kashan
Welcome to Iran, a land full of wonders. Your guide who accompanies you during this trip will welcome you at the IKA airport with flowers. IKA airport is located at the southern part of Tehran alongside a highway connecting Tehran all the way to the Persian Gulf, south of Iran. You would be transferred directly to Kashan, which is located at the border of the Zagros Mountain desert. Kashan is famous for rosewater and its carpets. On the road, we will stop to visit Qom, the religious capital of Shia to visit a holy shrine.

Day 2 : City tour in Kashan

A full day sightseeing in Kashan would bring you a new experience in Iran. A world heritage Persian garden is the first destination in Kashan and after that, visiting an ancient hill that shows an ancient residence from 5000 years ago. Also, Kashan is famous for huge houses with dizzyingly gorgeous yards and halls.

Day 3 : Driving to Isfahan

Day 4 : City tour in Isfahan

A full day of sightseeing in Isfahan including Naqsh-e-Jahan square which is a huge area and the second biggest square in the world. In the square, we will visit two spectacular mosques and two glorious palaces. All around the square is full of shops where you can find the best souvenirs in Iran. In the afternoon, on the other side of the river, which is called New-Jolfa, we visit an Armenian church.

Day 6 : Driving to Yazd via Naein and Meybod

We leave Isfahan for Yazd and have a couple of stops on the way to visit two desert towns, Naein and Meybod. In Naein we will visit Jame mosque and will have a walk in the old alleys and Bazaar. Also in Meybod, we will visit a spectacular castle and certain historical places, at the end of the day we will arrive in Yazd.

Jame mosque of Naein, Old part of Naein, Naryn castle, Abbasi Caravanserai, an ice-pit, a pigeon house.

Walking in two desert towns and cob covered buildings with wind towers and cisterns.

Day 7 : City tour in Yazd

Yazd hosts the biggest society of Zoroastrians in Iran and the people are living in peace with Muslims. They have their way of worship and traditions. In Yazd, we will visit a fire temple and a museum of Zoroastrians as well as the tower of silence. Also, Yazd has an old culture in architecture and textiles. Yazd is called “the city of wind towers” because of this smart structure invented by Iranians providing the houses with cool air. Yazd is a UNESCO world heritage as a complete old town. In Yazd, we will walk in the narrow cob covered alleys which is different from other parts of Iran. A Persian Garden in Yazd, which is a world heritage, and has the highest wind tower in Iran is our next destination there.

Day 8 : Driving to Kerman and City tour

In the afternoon, we will visit a complex in Kerman which includes Bazaar, bathhouse, and Sarai. Also, we will take a look at an ancient monument called Jabalieh Dome.

Day 9 : An excursion to Mahan and Lut desert

We start with a huge and extraordinary Citadel in Rayen in the morning and then a UNESCO world heritage Persian garden in Mahan with a spectacular landscape of central mountains of Iran. The excursion continues with a visit to a Sufi mausoleum in Mahan and then a drive on a fantastic road through central mountains to Lut desert, a Natural UNESCO world heritage in Iran.

Day 11 : City tour in Shiraz

We will have a full day of sightseeing in Shiraz, the land of poets and artists. We will visit a masterpiece of tilework in a mosque called “the Pink-Mosque” and two Persian gardens full of flowers and orange trees. The Bazaar of Shiraz is famous for its spices. We will go to tea houses next to the mosque and will visit a citadel from the 18th century. In the afternoon, nowhere is better than Hafiz mausoleum, one of the greatest poets in the history of Persian literature as well as Saadi, another great poet from Shiraz. Also, we will visit Shah-Cheragh mausoleum which is a grand holy shrine for Shia people.

Nasir-Al-Molk mosque, Eram and Narenjestan-Ghavam gardens, Vakil Bazaar, Kharim-Khan citadel, Hafiz, Saadi, and Shah-Cheraq mausoleums

Day 13 : Driving to Ahvaz via Bishapur

A long day on the road with spectacular sceneries of Zagros mountains and a visit to the ancient town of Bishapur with stunning temples and walls as well as some inscriptions next to the town in Chogan gorge. Also, we will pass by some huge oil excavation areas. At the end of the day, we will arrive at Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province in the southwest of Iran.

In the afternoon we will have an excursion to visit an old stony village in which all the houses and allies are made of local stones.

Day 17 : City Tour in Hamedan

A full day sightseeing in Hamedan brings you more information about the ancient face of Iran. We will start in the morning with an ancient hill to have a look at the discovered parts of the ancient city of Hegmataneh by recent archaeological research and also there is a museum with precious heritages from different periods of history. Also, the tomb of Ester, who saved the Jewish people of Iran in 500 BC is another unique place to see as well as Avicenna, the famous scientist, and philosopher from the 11th century. Some more cultural and ancient sights in Hamedan will complete the day.

For two hours in the cave with walking and riding boats, you would be amazed by the size of Stalactites and the depth of the water with fantastic reflections on it. Also, on the way to Zanjan, we will stop to visit the largest brick-made dome in the world, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site with a turquoise color on it and magnificent stucco from Mongols era.

Being impressed by the peaceful atmosphere of the cave with mysterious paths and different size of Stalactites and the depth of the water

Day 19 : Driving to Tabriz via Takht-Soleyman

After checking out of your hotel in Zanjan, we will have a long drive to get to Tabriz and the beautiful scenery on the way would stun you. After a couple of hours, we will stop to visit another UNESCO world heritage, an old important place in Iran’s history, a holy place for Zoroastrians and kings, a complex of temples and where they were keeping one of the most important fires. Next to the ancient complex, is a mountain that people call Zendan-Soleyman, meaning Solomon’s prison because of its peculiar shape and structure.

Takht-Soleyman, Zendan-Soleyman

Having a stunning view towards the top of the mountain of Zendan-Soleyman.

Day 20 : City tour in Tabriz and flying back to Tehran

On your last day in the west, you will have a full-day experience in Tabriz. After visiting an old mosque with turquoise tiles and a museum full of ancient heritages, we will start walking in the largest Bazaar in Iran, which is a UNESCO world heritage and full of interesting shops and goods. Tabriz is famous for the leather and carpet industry, so you can find some souvenirs from this fantastic Bazaar. In the afternoon it could be your flight to Tehran and your departure flight to home or continuing your journey on the other side of Iran.

Day 21 : City tour in Tehran

On your last day in Iran, you will have a full-day experience in Tehran. After visiting the National Museum Designed by Andre Godard, the French Architect, we will walk to the Golestan Palace, founded by the Qajar kings and also the palace for the Pahlavi kingdom coronations. In the Bazaar, you will have the experience of visiting the busiest market in Iran. Jewelry museum is the next destination*. In the afternoon you will be transferred to IKA airport to fly back home.
