Day 1:✈ to Tabriz/City Tour in Tabriz
Welcome to Tabriz. The first city in Persia that Marco visited and called there the most important station between Istanbul and India. The Grand Bazaar of Tabriz is still charming for visitors and we spend time to discover it. Also, a visit of Saint Mary church and Armenian museum is planned.
Day 2:City Tour in Tabriz 🚌 to Kandovan
Visiting a couple of places in Tabriz like the Blue-Mosque, Azerbaijan museum and Il-Goli Park is in the itinerary. Then we drive to Kandovan, a small but iconic village, where the people are still living in hand-digged houses in ash.
Day 3: 🚌 to Zanjan via Takht-e Soleyman
Marco didn’t visit Takht-e Soleyman but it’s a pity if you miss there. An ancient UNESCO site which was an important temple for Zoroastrians for many years. Then we continue driving to Zanjan and see Qezel-Ozan river, which was mentioned by Marco enroute.
Day 4: 🚌 to Hamedan
Traveling from Zanjan to Hamedan with 2 stops on the way. First, Soltanyeh Dome, a UNESCO world heritage with magnificent architecture and second, Alisadr Cave, one of the longest water-caves on the earth.
Day 5: City Tour in Hamedan
A full day sightseeing in Hamedan, the oldest capital of Iran goes back to 500 BC. Visiting Hegmataneh, a UNESCO world heritage site, walking in the old part of the town to visit the lifestyle, Avicenna tomb, Ester tomb, Alavian dome and Ganjnameh ancient inscriptions.
Day 6: 🚌 to Kashan
Driving to center part of the country with stops enroute. The first station is Saveh, a town with an ancient story told by Marco Polo and there we visit The Jame Mosque of Saveh and listening the story of three wise men, who followed a star from the East to Bethlehem in search of a newborn king, Jesus. Then we continue the road to Qom with a stop enroute to visit a stone-made Caravanserai.
Day 7: City Tour in Kashan
A day to discover the town. Fin garden is the first place and then ancient Sialk hills. The sightseeing continues in the Bazaar to Agha-Bozorg mosque, Brujerdiha house and Soltan-Ahmad bathhouse.
Day 8: 🚌 to Yazd
Continuing the desert road to Yazd through wonderful stops in Ardestan, Naein and Meybod to visit mosques, fire temple and old castles enroute. Some of them are mentioned by Marco Polo.
Day 9: City Tour in Yazd
A full day sightseeing in Yazd to visit the Zoroastrians tower of silence and fire temple, the water museum and Qanats, Amir-Chakhmaq square, Jame mosque and Bazaar and continuing walking to Ziaieh school through narrow adobe-style allies of the old town.
Day 10: 🚌 to Kerman
A day on the road to reach Kerman with stops enroute to visit Zein-al-Din Caravanserai and Meymand village.
Day 11: City Tour in Kerman and Mahan
A full day sightseeing in Kerman and an excursion to Mahan. Visiting Ganjali-Khan complex, Jame and Malek mosque, Jabaliyeh dome, The Green dome and Ardeshir castle. In Mahan we visit a beautiful oasis called Shazdeh garden and Shah-Nemat-Allah-Vali mausoleum.
Day 12: 🚌 to Bandar-Abbas
A day on the road through Rayen to visit an ancient huge castle and in Manujan to visit the ancient castle of Manujan.
Day 13: An excursion to Hormuz island ✈ Back Home
In the last day, we travel by ferry to Hormuz island to visit the unique culture of the people there. Visiting Portuguese castle and some geological landscapes is a part of the itinerary. Then we come back to Bandar-Abbas and you will be transferred to the airport to fly back home.
