Masoud Esmaeeli’s professional journey began in psychology but found its true calling in financial accounting. He honed his skills over seven years as part of the finance team at Tehran Canon. In 2011, Masoud immigrated to Germany, where he mastered the German language and broadened his expertise in financial and tax accounting.
His passion for business and tourism led him to pursue studies in tourism management, complemented by courses in commerce and business administration. These diverse experiences culminated in a bold career move: leaving his role at Minol in Stuttgart to establish Gate of Nations in 2017.
Masoud’s love for travel is deeply personal—he has visited over 30 countries, cultivating a rich understanding of global cultures and fostering meaningful sub-cultural connections. A certified diver and member of a North German diving club, he balances his professional pursuits with active engagement in his hobbies.
Music is another of Masoud’s passions; he plays the piano and has an extensive knowledge of traditional Persian radifs, a collection of classical Persian melodies.
Through Gate of Nations, Masoud combines his professional expertise, cultural insight, and passion for exploration to create unique and memorable experiences for travelers.
Siamak Ekhtary is a member of the Mining Engineering Organization and holds a degree in Earth Sciences, specializing in Geology. Alongside his international expertise in the natural stone industry development, he approaches tourism, from astronomy to geotourism and mountaineering, as a developmental perspective, emphasizing environmental conservation and sustainable development as the core of local economic growth and human development. His personal pursuits include a passion for classical guitar and film music, which resonates well with his spirit of travel and nature exploration. Currently residing in Hamburg, Germany, he leads business development with impactful experiences in business management, market development, branding strategies, and networking at Gate of Nations GmbH as one of the shareholders.
Sajjad Ezati has been actively involved in the tourism industry since 2012. He holds a master’s degree in International Tourism Development from Deggendorf Institute of Technology and has further enriched his expertise through specialized courses in tour guiding and travel agency management. After mastering English, Sajjad embarked on learning German, showcasing his commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
Now based in Europe, specifically Germany, Sajjad continues to bring his passion for cultural exchange and tourism to his work. His deep-rooted interest in global cultures and history drives him to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, he has excelled in various roles across the travel and leisure industry, demonstrating an unwavering dedication to enhancing his skills and expanding his knowledge.
One customer’s remark aptly captures his character: “Sajjad demonstrated himself to be modest, professional, and extremely well-organized.” Beyond his career in tourism, Sajjad is a skilled player of the Setar, a classical Iranian musical instrument, and an experienced mountain climber with 15 years of expertise.
Iraj Sebghati has been living in Germany for 30 years and has guided tours to Iran for more than 20 years now.
The experiences he has gained over the years have not only made him familiar with German culture and expectations but also with the best ways to cope with any difficulties that may arise during journeys. Iraj is born in Qazvin, one of the most touristic cities of Iran.
His love of and passion for his home land has been with him all the years of his living in Germany and was one of the reasons leading him to choose this profession. He has cooperated with Studiosus, one of the greatest tour agencies in Germany. He has also pursued a career in journalism and writing and trying to write a book about his experiences in Iran.
The tour is accompanied by certified tour guide and wine expert Daniela Rothschuh. Ms. Rothschuh has a background in adult education. Learning with fun has always been her motto. Since 2016, she has professionalized her passion for wine through various recognized national (IHK and DWI/German Wine Institute) and international (WSET®) qualifications and completed training as a tour guide. Daniela Rothschuh offers various wine events, sometimes in combination with museums and guided tours. She will give us a theoretical and practical but always entertaining introduction to the subject of wine on the trip and will also accompany our tour with guided tours and explanations during our excursions.
Fatemeh pourkazem, a seasoned software engineer and SEO specialist, embarked on her journey in the tech world over a decade ago. Armed with a passion for programming and a thirst for knowledge, she honed her skills and expanded her expertise through relentless dedication and continuous learning.
Graduating with a degree in Software Engineering, Fatemeh’s journey didn’t stop there. Intrigued by the dynamics of search engine optimization and social media, she delved into these realms, becoming a proficient SEO specialist and adept social media strategist.
But it’s Fatemeh’s deep-rooted passion for traveling, tourism, and history that truly sets her apart. With a fascination for exploring new cultures and uncovering the secrets of the past, she has traversed the globe, immersing herself in diverse landscapes and historical landmarks.
Before practicing as a tour guide, Foad has been traveling to many parts of Iran. He knows, mostly, the geographical aspects of this land and can be a great leader for nature lovers. Adventure and active tours are his specialty as well as an experienced and reliable coach and guide for the people who like to experience climbing, diving, paragliding, biking, canyoning, trekking and... in Iran.
A Ph.D. holder on archaeology and a learned person in the field of Persian culture and history, Mina knows how to combine her knowledge with the practice of tour leading. Her years of experience as a world traveler has also led her to know different cultures and lifestyles.
Ava Tabatabaei holds BA and MA degrees in sculpture, and intelligent
simulation, and has consistently created works of art since 2007. She has participated in over 30 national and international solo and group art
exhibitions. She has also written numerous articles in the field of art.
Consequently, she has commenced writing and producing text content
for diverse businesses. As her artworks are founded on literary, social,
and cultural themes, and as she possesses expertise in design of
concepts, she endeavors to introduce and promote intangible heritage
through the tourism industry. She is focused on the ability of tourist
programs to experience cultural connections between nations.
Masoud Esmaeeli, a passionate traveler, had visited over 20 countries and decided to turn his passion into a profession. Thus, the idea for "Gate of Nations" was born, inspired by ancient Persian civilization. The name is derived from the famous Gate of Persepolis, a 2,500-year-old monumental site where people from all over the world gathered for ceremonies and special events. In the same year, the sole proprietorship was founded in Stuttgart.
In April 2018, the first office in Stuttgart-Vaihingen opened its doors. During this year, data on several hundred traditional ecotourism accommodations in Iran were collected and made available for booking on a website.
The company expanded its services and began offering tours to Iran, further solidifying its position in the market.
During the two years of the global pandemic, the young company persevered. This time was used to improve the website and expand its presence across various social media channels.
Gate of Nations offered its first European tour, initially for the German-speaking market and later to Italy, France, and Scandinavia.
This year, Gate of Nations entered into partnership agreements with several major travel providers and expanded its offerings to include hotel and cruise bookings.
Gate of Nations continued to grow and transformed from a sole proprietorship into a limited liability company. As Gate of Nations GmbH, the company now offers luxury travel and private jets for its clients, marking a new era in its history.
