Scandinavian Splendor Expedition A special journey for those interested in exploring Northern Europe and the Scandinavian countries, beginning in Germany and continuing through the beautiful countries of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. This journey will take you through the historical Viking lands and connect your route to the North Sea, where you’ll board the Fjordline ferry to Denmark. You’ll then proceed by car to Germany.

Your journey will start by entering the heart of Europe and the commercial capital, Hamburg. It’s a dreamy trip that commences with a boat ride through the waterways of Hamburg, followed by a car journey through northern Germany, crossing into Denmark and staying in Copenhagen. You’ll also explore Sweden with a stop in Stockholm before reaching Oslo, the capital of Norway.

After your stay and exploration in Oslo, the journey continues with a passage through Norway’s incredible natural landscapes to the westernmost point of the country, where the beautiful Fjordline ferry is anchored in Bergen. After a short stay in this city, your exciting journey will proceed with an overnight ferry ride, and you’ll have the chance to visit the region’s rocky attractions and beautiful waterfalls.

The Scandinavian Splendor Expedition continues to Hirtshals in northern Denmark. From there, by car, you’ll cross the length of Denmark, returning to Hamburg, where your journey will come to an end.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

Arrival in Hamburg, transfer from the airport to the hotel, room check-in, and review of the upcoming plans for the trip.

Day 2 :

Visit the central part of the beautiful port city of Hamburg, artificial Alster Lakes, sandy beaches, and the pristine Elbe River.

Experience the city’s unique architecture and buildings with a city tour on recreational boats.

Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany, the eighth-largest in the European Union, and the third-largest port in Europe after Rotterdam and Antwerp.

Day 3:

On the third day, leave Hamburg for your destination in Denmark, the capital city of Copenhagen.

Denmark is the land that connects Germany to the Scandinavian countries and is situated between the Baltic and North Seas. Experience beautiful landscapes on the journey between Hamburg and Copenhagen, including impressive Baltic Sea bridges.

Day 4 :

Explore the attractions and beautiful places in Copenhagen, including Tivoli Gardens, a famous amusement park in the heart of the city.

Visit Nyhavn, known for its colorful and charming buildings, Rosenborg and Christiansborg Palaces, and Frederik’s Church. You’ll have the evening for a leisurely walk in the city center if you wish

Day 5:

Travel to Sweden, with Stockholm as your destination on the fifth day. Enjoy the natural beauty of both Denmark and Sweden along the way. Spend the night in Stockholm

Day 6:

Begin this day with a city tour in the central part of Stockholm. Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is built on a series of 14 islands connected by more than 50 bridges.

Explore the cobblestone streets and golden-hued buildings in Gamla Stan (the Old Town), St. Nicholas’ Church from the 13th century, the Royal Palace, and the Nobel Museum with its numerous Nobel Prize exhibits.

Admire the unique architecture, and create unforgettable memories from this visit.

Day 7 :

On the seventh day, leave Stockholm for your destination in Oslo, Norway.

Enjoy the scenic 520-kilometer journey through the beautiful nature of the Scandinavian countries and its numerous lakes. In the evening, you’ll arrive in Oslo and spend the night in the city

Day 8:

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll explore the vibrant city of Oslo. Get a taste of the bustling metropolis and experience the rich culture of the largest city in Scandinavia.

Oslo, the capital of Norway, is situated on the southern coast of the country. The city is famous for its parks and museums. Many of these cultural institutions, such as the Norwegian Maritime Museum and Viking ships dating back to the 9th century, are located on the Bygdøy Peninsula.

Oslo offers a wide range of attractions, and by obtaining the Oslo Pass, which provides discounts and free access to public transportation for many landmarks, you’ll become familiar with these points of interest. Visiting the Viking Ship Museum will be one of the highlights of your day

Day 9 :

On the ninth day, we will leave the city of Oslo and head to Bergen, located in the western part of Norway on the northern coast. Bergen’s historic district offers a fascinating journey into the past of the Hanseatic League, an old trading city. The city is surrounded by seven mountains that create breathtaking panoramic views around Bergen.

During our journey between these two cities, we will witness an abundance of natural attractions that are unmatched in any other part of Europe. We will spend the night in the city of Bergen

Day 10:

This day marks a turning point in your journey. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, you’ll immerse yourself in the pristine natural beauty of Norway. You’ll visit breathtaking waterfalls, unique rocky landscapes, and extraordinary lakes surrounding Bergen, including Trolltunga, Tyssedal, Vøringsfossen, and Folgefonna National Park

Day 11:

After breakfast, you’ll head to the port of Bergen, where your exciting journey continues. You’ll board the beautiful Fjordline cruise and travel to Hirtshals in northern Denmark. Fjordline, founded in 1993, is the second-largest Norwegian shipping company in international passenger and freight transport between Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

Day 12 :

After experiencing an overnight stay on the cruise ship, you’ll have a brief stop in another coastal town in Norway, Stavanger.

Stavanger is a unique old town with 173 white wooden houses built around 1800. You’ll explore the town’s artistic atmosphere with numerous galleries and craft shops.

After about 24 hours of travel on the cruise, you’ll arrive in Hirtshals, in northern Denmark. You’ll continue your journey to Hamburg, which is about a 5-hour drive.

Day 13 :

The final day of your journey has arrived. You’ll check out from the hotel and head to the airport for your return home
