Damavand has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. It’s in the middle of Alborz range, adjacent to Varārū, Sesang, Gol-e Zard, and Mīānrūd. It’s near the southern coast of the Caspian Sea, in Amol County, Mazandaran Province, 66 kilometers (41 miles) northeast of the city of Tehran.

Mount Damāvand is the 12th most prominent peak in the world and the second most prominent in Asia after Mount Everest. It is part of the Volcanic Seven Summits mountaineering challenge.

Day 1 :

🕶️ Driving from Tehran to Polour

Welcome to Iran, a land full of wonders. Your guide who accompanies you during this trip will welcome you at the IKA airport with a bunch of flowers. IKA airport is located in the southern part of Tehran alongside a highway connecting Tehran all the way to the Persian Gulf in the south of Iran. You would be transferred directly to Polour, which located at the Alborz mountains to take the permit of climbing to Damavand and then transferring to the 2nd camp with 4wd cars. (The 2nd camp located 3000m above sea level.) You will see: Alborz range with the great landscape of Damavnd and beautiful Haraz road. You will Experience: Spending the night with a spectacular landscape of Damavand and Haraz valley. Distances: Ika airport to Polour is 160 km (less than 3 hours) Accommodation: Camping or Shelter in the 2nd Camp

Day 2 :

🕶️ Trekking from 2nd to 3rd Camp

The 2nd camp called Gosfandsara. Taking mule to carry the packs and start to trekking to the base camp of Damavand located 4200m above sea level called Bargah the 3rd and stay there for overnighting. You will see: Great landscape : Alborz range . Laar dam lake and some small villages in root. You will Experience: Habitat in 4200meter altitude You will know: The process of hiking and climbing to Damavand Base camp Day 1 Day 2 Distances: Ascending from Alt 2800 Meter to 4150 meter (About 4 hours) Accommodation: Camping or Shelter in the 3rd Camp

Day 3:

Acclimatization

A full day acclimatization in high altitude. climb to 4500 meter and descending. rest and enjoy the spectacular landscape. You will see: Frozen waterfall of Damavand. landscape of Alborz range. You will Experience: Acclimatization in camp and ascending to 4500meter altitude. You will know: How to breathing and hiking in a high altitude. Accommodation: Camping or Shelter in the 3rd Camp

Day 4 :

Damavand summit 5671 meter

Having a big day of climbing from Bargah 4150 meter to Damavand summit 5671meter (8 hours). Spending a couple of minutes at the summit and taking some pictures. Descending to the shelter and having a summit party. You will see: The summit of highest volcano of Asia. sulfur vapor spring at the top and a great landscape of Damavand. You will know: How to climb Damavand summit Day 3 Day 4 Accommodation: Camping or Shelter in the 3rd Camp Distances: 12 Hours maximum.

Day 5:

Swimming in natural Spa and Driving to Tehran

Descending from the shelter to Gosfandsara and driving to Larijan at first to experience and relax in the natural Spa of Damavand. Then driving back to Tehran via Haraz road.
